Global Identity & Professional Support
Psychotherapy for Expats and Internationals
Relocating to a new country, navigating international careers, or living far from home is an enriching journey—but it can also bring unique psychological loads, cultural isolation, and silent struggles. Finding the right mental health professional who truly understands this highly mobile lifestyle can be a daunting task.
As a medical doctor and board-certified psychotherapist (Fachärztin, trained and certified in Germany), I provide high-caliber, evidence-based therapy tailored specifically to the needs of expats, international professionals, and individuals worldwide—on-site in Aarhus (Denmark) and flexibly online.
My practice offers a confidential, specialized space designed for international professionals and residents experiencing general life transitions or emotional distress, executives facing corporate burnout, accompanying spouses navigating profound identity shifts and loneliness, as well as international students and PhDs exposed to immense academic and performance pressure.
While English may not be my native tongue, it is a language I have lived, studied, and worked in across the globe for many years. Conducting therapy in English allows us to bridge cultural barriers seamlessly. I understand firsthand the subtle nuances of the expat experience, corporate high-pressure environments, and multicultural identities. This provides you with a safe, confidential space where you feel profoundly understood—without having to explain the complex context of an international life.
Psychotherapy in Aarhus and Online
A safe space
As an experienced psychotherapist, I know how important it is to have a space where we can show up as ourselves with all our difficulties, challenges, fears and insecurities – trusting and without shame. When all of this is allowed to just be there – out in the open in the privacy of our therapeutic space – it establishes the basis for meaningful change and genuine healing.

There to support you
Becoming Allies
Sometimes it is hard to open up – and that is completely ok. We will then work to nurture trust or courage – whatever you need for this journey.
My top priority for you is sustainability. I want you to feel safe and supported throughout your psychotherapeutic process – while simultaneously building confidence. Owning your strengths as well as your flaws in a way that eventually you will feel confident enough to face future challenges independently, with renewed strength and resilience.
Looking at you holistically
Getting there
Together, we will explore what contributes to your current load, why and how it manifests – emotionally, cognitively, physically and in your behavior. By reviewing your symptoms within a psychosomatic context, we will identify starting points and levers to help you to develop strategies to reduce distress and strengthen your inner balance and resilience with your very own individual skillset.
